While  other oil spill remediation products initially soak up hydrocarbons,  cone their surface area becomes entirely coated, their effectiveness is  drastically diminished, and leaching can occur over time. OIL HAWG is different in that the microbe it contains actually consume and degrade the hydrocarbons that are present!

OIL HAWG contains indigenous microorganisms and is delivered via a natural  organic fiber medium, and will self-bioremediate, with the proper  moisture present )30-50%

Unlike other products containing UREA, chemicals or solvents, OIL HAWG is all natural and not toxic to animals! Nor is it detrimental to water  sources, should run-off reach streams, rivers , lakes, the ocean, or  eventually permeate to groundwater.

Similar in action to Perlite, Diatomaceous Earth, Sand, Dirt, Dry Protein, and other natural fiber, OIL HAWG absorbs approximately two (2) times its own weight in Oil, Grease,  Crude Petroleum, Solvents, and Industrial Mixes of hydrocarbons.

Not only does OIL HAWG absorb oil, grease, crude petroleum, petroleum solvents, etc. from  water or soil, it resists displacing (leaching) those when flushing with  water. Thus, it can even be centrifuged to collect approximately 75% of  the spill!

In creating OIL HAWG,  we have added select elements to make our product the best tool for  bio-remediation specialists and clean-up crews. It provides a  combination of all necessary ingredients to enhance bio-remediation of  organic compounds, specifically hydrocarbons, and represents a   STATE-OF-THE-ART product.

OIL HAWG is designed to give you maximum flexibility during application to include the following features:

• OIL HAWG is manufactured in lightweight bags that can be transported to the site with ease
• The natural organic encapsulating material can be spread over large areas or broadcast into hard-to-reach spots.
• OIL HAWG can be spread over the surface of contaminated water where oil residues  are floating or tilled into soil where the contamination has already  penetrated.
• 1 bag of OIL HAWG will treat 1.5 to 2 cubic yards of average contamination. More area if  less contaminated, and less area if more heavily contaminated.     
  • Average contamination in the top 6" of soil, 1 bag should work into 54 square feet.
  • Average contamination in the top 4" of soil, 1 bag should work into 81 square feet.
• Once applied, OIL HAWG can be picked up with a skimmer, shovel, implement, etc., for  containing the bio-remediation, or left worked into the soil to  biodegrade.
• OIL HAWG is cost effective when compared to other remediation materials and methods.

Given OIL HAWG's high efficiency, no matter what disposal methods are used, costs are significantly lower due to tremendous waste reduction

Using OIL HAWG at the spill site eliminates the need for soil removal, transportation, disposal, and soil replacement costs.

OIL HAWG is all natural, non-toxic, and will biodegrade without leaching.

When incinerated, OIL HAWG itself has a very low ash content (1.6% ash remaining), combined with a very high BTU rating (7,560 BTU). OIL HAWG may be incinerated and , as an energy source, contributes approximately 7,000 BTU/lb during the incineration process. Since OIL HAWG contains no clay, there is no production of wanted emissions and yields  less than 5% ash. This reduction in volume can significantly reduce  your overall disposal transportation costs.
